Art Vocabulary and Craftsmanship	Describe the technique applied – also describe dodging and burning; depth of field, etc.  This photograph has a shallow depth of field and utilizes intersections to attract the eye.

There are some repeating shapes made in with the wire throughout the image that is also lines, and there are some elements of texture shown within the wood of the fence. There are also some nice shapes within the print on the cow's face.

Conceptual Skill	Interpret: What is the photographer’s intent?  Does it convey an idea or message? Is there a mood? My intent was to satisfy the requirements of the assignment. The message is that cows are gross animals 99% of the time. They are also merciless and kill more people than sharks every year.
Critique	Judge: evaluate the success of this piece. I like this photo enough. I think it meets the requirements and I like the values shown. Unfortunately there are some intersections happening in this photo, but I tried my best.

Critique: Splash Of red

Art Vocabulary and Craftsmanship	Describe the technique applied – also describe dodging and burning; depth of field, etc. I  used a lot of digital editing to make this photo have more saturated colors in order to comply with the 'splash of red' assignment.

This photograph contains a lot of intense complementary colors, which really make this photo look decent. Aswell as that, this photo contains a pretty good amount of texture in the water. I may or may not have used photoshop to make the colors more punchy. It also has a feeling of movement because of the ripples in the water.

Critique	Judge: evaluate the success of this piece. I think that this photograph atleast fits the criteria of the assignment, so it is a success in my eyes

Critique: (Dramatic Lighting)

Art Vocabulary and Craftsmanship	Describe the technique applied – also describe dodging and burning; depth of field, etc. I would say that this photo has a short depth of field, given there is no background, I really can't tell. I did not dodge and burn because I can't really see any distracting elements. I used a slow shutter speed to take this photo. In order to get this effect I slightly under exposed it.

There aren't many colors showcased in this image, mostly analogous reds and oranges with her hair and skin tone, and maybe a more pale complementary green on the shirt.  Obviously, there is a lot of emphasis on the face and hands given the fact that they are the only things in this photo.   This photo has a lot of black negative space, but I feel happy with it because it draws more attention to the subject and keeps her out of the center.

Conceptual Skill	Interpret: What is the photographer’s intent?  Does it convey an idea or message? Is there a mood? My intent with this photo was to complete the dramatic lighting assignment, not a lot of feeling, but if there's any underlying feeling it would be news to me.
Critique	Judge: evaluate the success of this piece. I feel as if this photo was successful in the fact that it shows dramatic lighting and completes the task of the assignment.
